These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of CineCatch, an app for discovering movies and meeting people through shared movie taste.
By using CineCatch, you agree to these terms and to the Community Guidelines in the CineCatch Privacy Policy & Community Guidelines.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use CineCatch. If we learn or reasonably suspect that a user is under 18, we will remove the account.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for the information submitted through your account and for keeping access to your account secure.
Guest accounts may not be recoverable after sign-out because they use Firebase anonymous authentication.
3. Your profile and messages
You are responsible for what you put in your profile and send in chats. Your profile must describe you truthfully and must not impersonate anyone.
You keep ownership of your content. You allow us to store it and show it to other users as needed to run CineCatch, for example showing your profile in People or your messages to your match.
We may remove content or profiles that break these terms or the Community Guidelines.
4. Community rules
Do not harass, threaten, or abuse other users. Do not post hateful, sexual, or violent content, and never content that involves or sexualizes minors.
Do not use CineCatch for spam, scams, advertising, or asking other users for money.
You can block or report anyone from their profile, from a chat, or from your matches. We review reports and may hide profiles, suspend accounts, or permanently ban accounts that break these rules.
5. Meeting other users
CineCatch does not run background checks or verify the identity of its users. You are responsible for your interactions with other users, online and in person.
If you decide to meet someone, meet in a public place, tell a friend where you are going, and never send money to someone you met in the app.
6. Premium subscription
CineCatch Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription, sold through Google Play on Android and the App Store on iPhone. It may start with a free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or the current period ends, the store charges the subscription price, and the subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.
You can cancel at any time in your Google Play or Apple account settings. Payments and refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their policies.
7. Movie information
Movie information and ratings may be supplied by third-party sources including TMDB and OMDb. Availability, ratings, and other details may change or contain errors.
8. Acceptable use
You may not misuse CineCatch, interfere with its operation or security, attempt unauthorized access, or use the app in violation of applicable law.
9. Availability and termination
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features of CineCatch. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
