Poolsy: Split & Pay

Poolsy Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 24, 2026

This policy explains what Poolsy ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, why we collect it, and how you can remove it.

Poolsy is a shared-expense tracking app for roommates, families, and friend groups.

1. Who Runs Poolsy

For any privacy question or request, contact renvoyapp@gmail.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide account access and Poolsy's shared-expense features.

  • Email address: collected when you create an account with email or sign in with Google or Apple; used for sign-in, password reset, and account identification
  • Display name: collected when you create an account; shown to other members of your groups
  • Password: used for email sign-up only; stored as a salted hash by our authentication provider, and never seen or stored by us in plain text
  • Group data you create or are added to: group names, member names, expense titles, amounts, dates, and settlements; used to store and sync the shared ledger between group members

3. Data We Do Not Collect

Poolsy does not collect location, contacts, photos or camera data, device advertising identifiers, or browsing and usage analytics.

Poolsy shows no ads and uses no analytics or crash-reporting SDK.

4. Google and Apple Sign-In

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive only the email address and name those providers share with us to create your account.

We never receive your Google or Apple password.

5. How Data Is Stored

Account and group data is stored using Supabase, our managed PostgreSQL database and authentication provider.

Row-level security is used so that only members of a group can read or write that group's data. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Data is shared only as needed to operate Poolsy.

  • Supabase receives data as our infrastructure and hosting provider so it can store and sync account and group data
  • Other members of a group you belong to can see the group and expense data that you and they add to that shared group

7. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete Account in the App.

Account identifiers are deleted or removed from shared records as described on Poolsy's Delete Account page. Shared group and expense records may remain for other group members so their balances and group history remain accurate.

If you no longer have the App installed, email renvoyapp@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account to request deletion.

8. Children's Privacy

Poolsy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date shown above.

Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Contact
