1. Who We Are
TaskCue: AI Reminder ("TaskCue") is operated by Renvoy. TaskCue provides reminders, routines, focus sessions, and planning tools.

2. Local-First by Design
Your tasks, reminders, routines, medication reminders, leaving-home checklists, focus history, and preferences are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers unless you turn on account backup (see Section 8).
Otherwise our servers hold only what is needed to run your account: your sign-in identity and, if you start one, your Pro trial dates.
3. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Profile details such as a name or nickname you choose
- Account information such as your email address, if you sign in
- Tasks, reminders, routines, checklist items, focus sessions, and notes (stored on your device)
- Medication reminder details you choose to enter (stored on your device unless you turn on account backup; see Section 9)
- Text you type or dictate into AI-assisted task capture (see Sections 6 and 7)
- Text you share into TaskCue from another app, which opens as an editable draft on your device
- If you turn on account backup, a copy of your TaskCue data (see Section 8)
- Messages and details you send to support
4. Information Collected Automatically
- Crash reports and diagnostics through Firebase Crashlytics: device model, operating system version, app version, and the technical details of the crash. We do not attach your name, email, or task content to crash reports.
- Subscription and entitlement status from RevenueCat, Google Play, and the App Store, so Pro features unlock correctly
- Usage statistics through Google Analytics for Firebase: which parts of the app you use, such as finishing the welcome screen, creating a reminder (and from which screen), or tapping Done or Snooze on a notification (and how many minutes after it was due), plus app opens and sessions. Firebase identifies the app installation with a random identifier. We do not send reminder text, names, email addresses, medication details, or location, we do not set a user ID, and we do not collect the advertising ID. You can turn this off in Settings › Share usage statistics.
- TaskCue does not access your location. Earlier versions offered an optional weather card that, if you allowed it, sent your approximate location to Open-Meteo; that feature has been removed.
5. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide TaskCue features and keep your data on your device
- Schedule local reminder, routine, and medication notifications
- Sign you in and maintain your session
- Verify and restore Pro subscriptions and track your trial window
- Turn your typed or dictated text into editable task suggestions
- Keep a backup of your data in your account, only if you turn it on
- Fix crashes and improve reliability
- Understand which features are used and where people get stuck, so we can improve TaskCue (usage statistics, which you can turn off)
- Respond to support, privacy, and account deletion requests
6. AI-Assisted Task Capture
When you use AI-assisted task capture or step suggestions, the text you typed and your device's current local date and time are sent to our backend on Supabase, which forwards them to Google's Gemini API to generate task suggestions.
We do not store this text on our servers after the suggestions are returned. Google processes it under its Gemini API terms.
Suggestions are always shown to you for editing and are saved only after you confirm them. If the AI service is unavailable, TaskCue uses an on-device parser instead.
If you do not want text sent to an AI service, do not use the AI capture features. You can still add reminders manually.
7. Voice Input
On Android, you can dictate instead of typing. TaskCue opens your device's own speech recognition screen; TaskCue does not record, receive, or store audio and does not request microphone permission.
Your speech is processed by your device's speech recognition service (for example Google's), on the device or on that provider's servers depending on your device settings, under that provider's terms. TaskCue receives only the recognized text, which you can edit before anything is saved.
8. Optional Account Backup
If you are signed in and turn on Settings › Back up to my account, TaskCue uploads one copy of your on-device data to your account so you can restore it on a new phone: tasks and their completion history, routines, medication reminders (names, dosage notes, schedules, and doses taken), leaving-home checklists, focus sessions, companion settings, and your profile preferences. Chat history and device-only settings are not included.
The backup is off by default. It is stored with Supabase, readable only by your account, and transferred over encrypted connections. It is replaced each time TaskCue backs up, is never used for advertising or analysis, and is not shared with anyone else.
Turning backup off removes the copy from our servers. Deleting your account removes it too.
9. Health and Medication Information
Medication reminders, including the medication name, dosage note, and schedule you enter, are stored on your device. They leave your device only if you turn on account backup (Section 8), and are never analyzed, used for advertising, or shared with third parties.
TaskCue is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
10. Notifications and Home Screen Widget
TaskCue schedules local notifications on your device. We do not use push notification tokens, and reminder content is not sent to a notification server.
Notification content, and the next reminder shown by the optional home screen widget, may appear on your lock screen or home screen depending on your device settings. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.
11. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information, show ads, use advertising SDKs, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.
We share limited information only with providers that operate the app on our behalf:
- Supabase: authentication, account and trial records, the AI capture backend, and your account backup if you turn it on
- Google: Gemini API (AI task capture), Google Sign-In, Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports), Google Analytics for Firebase (usage statistics), and Google Play billing
- Apple: Sign in with Apple and App Store billing, where available
- RevenueCat: subscription status and purchase restore
- Your device's speech recognition provider processes voice input you choose to use; TaskCue receives only the text
12. Legal Disclosures
We may disclose information if required by law or legal process, to enforce our terms, to protect rights, safety, and security, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.
13. Data Retention
Data on your device stays until you delete it in the app, delete your account, uninstall the app, or clear app storage.
Account and trial records are kept until you delete your account. An account backup is kept until you turn backup off or delete your account. We may retain limited records where necessary for security, fraud prevention, billing, or legal compliance.
Usage statistics are kept by Google Analytics for up to 14 months.
14. Your Choices and Account Deletion
You can edit or delete tasks, reminders, routines, and medication reminders in the app at any time, turn off notifications in your device settings, turn off usage statistics in Settings › Share usage statistics, use TaskCue without AI capture or voice input, and turn account backup on or off in Settings.
You can delete your account in the app from Settings › Delete account. This deletes your account, trial record, and any account backup from our servers and clears TaskCue data from your device. You can also request deletion by emailing support@renvoyapps.com; see our Delete Account page.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions, or on iPhone in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
15. Children's Privacy
TaskCue is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it and take appropriate action on the account.
16. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls on our servers. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
17. International Users
Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, where privacy laws may differ.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date and post the updated version here.
